Overview
Fall Transfer Student Orientation is a 1-day program designed for new transfer students beginning their studies at UL Lafayette during Fall Semester. During Orientation, students will have an opportunity to meet with their college dean, meet with other incoming students, learn about important university resources, discuss the transfer credit articulation process, and if need, meet with an academic advisor is prepation of registering for classes.

Orientation Fee
The fee for Transfer Student Orientation is $35.00 and includes all Orientation program materials, lunch, a university course catalog CD, program facilitation, and a Ragin' Cajun spirit shirt. Your Orientation fee must be paid online at the time of registration. You can pay using a Credit Card (MasterCard, American Express, Discover) or with an electronic check.
Orientation Registration
Transfer Students can register for Orientation in one of two ways, depending on your plans for academic advising.
Students who meet with their Academic Advisor before Orientation
Transfer Students will receive the name of their academic advisor in their Orientation invitation. We encourage Transfer Students to meet with their academic advisor to be cleared to register for classes. Once you meet with your academic advisor, you can click HERE to register for Orientation. You will need your university username and password (sent in your Orientation invitation).
Students who wish to meet with their Academic Advisor during Orientation
Transfer Students wishing to meet with an academic advisor during Transfer Orientation can call the Office of Orientation at 337-482-1391 to schedule their Orientation. You will be directed to pay your Orientation fee online.
