Education in Acadiana
SOUL Camp 2010 Service Project Sites
The power of education is clearly important to UL Lafayette and our students. Creating enriching and healthy environments for student learning in our community is a key ingredient in ensuring the future success of our community, state, and nation. As such, we are partnering with schools around Acadiana for our SOUL Camp 2010 Service Project. Each site will provide different projects and allow our campers to gain first-hand experience with the educational environments of future generations of students.
We are happy to announce that we will be partnering with the following sites for our Service Project:
Ernest Gallet Elementary School
Common Reading Experience
A key component of the Day of Service Project will be a common reading that will help our students understand the importance of the work we will be doing. This year, we will be reading Gavin Leonard's Rethinking Volunteerism in America.
